Alexander E. Brunner studied business and economics at the University of St.Gallen HSG in Switzerland before working for Ben&Jerrys, the US cult ice-cream brand. Afterwards he worked for more than a decade in alternative investments, hedge-funds and impact investing as well a senior executive at a Swiss-Swedish big data startup. From 2015 until 2022 Alexander was also a member of parliament in the City of Zurich.

Claudio J. Tessone is Professor of Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies at the Informatics Department, University of Zurich. He is co-founder and Chairman of the UZH Blockchain Center. He is an expert in the modelling of complex socio-economic, and socio-technical systems from an interdisciplinary perspective. Blockchain-based systems and cryptocurrencies are the main pillar of his research (being among the first to study them). Csaba Kiraly is a research engineer in the Codex group of status.im, currently working on compact proofs of storage, zero knowledge proofs, data availability, and P2P technologies.
